October has arrived and it has brought an array of autumnal colours along. October weddings in Mallorca are becoming increasingly popular due to the fantastic weather that we enjoy, so we thought we would keep you in the loop with the latest trends for autumn weddings. If you weren’t thinking of having a wedding in autumn, these ideas might just persuade you!

  1. Colour palette

Reds, yellows and oranges are still the quintessential autumnal colours, however, plum and burgundy seem to be leading the way this season. The combination of rich burgundy tones with lush greens or metallic tones are the conquering the wedding scene.

2. Menu

Try to include seasonal ingredients such as mushrooms, pumpkin, apples or pears. The cooler temperatures also mean that we can opt for richer foods. Food trucks and station are still on trend, so our bet this season is a churros con chocolate station as your late night snack.

3. Florals

Wild-looking bouquets of flowers in gorgeous plum and burgundy tones t combined with greens and whites are a sure bet. Wine coloured dhalias are a favorite, combined with berries, ivy or eucalyptus. Succulents are still going strong.

4. Stationery

Watercolours and minimalism are the favourites. Watercolours are perfect for a natural whimsical style while minimalistic geometric invitations are perfect for a modern and urban look.

5. Cakes

Naked cakes and iced cakes with a rustic finish decorated with matching florals and berries are the winners. Classic autumnal flavours are also growing in popularity: pumpkin spice, caramel, apple, carrot… take your pick!

6. Dresses

Two-piece separates are the hot trend to follow this season, however, you may want to add a light jacket or sweater for the evening. It is still warm during the day in Mallorca so if you decide to go with sleeves don’t go any longer than 3/4 length. Check out this gorgeous Rue de Seine masterpiece:
